Overview
Eden Rose is currently engaged with a Dubai based financial institution who are seeking a Senior Finance Officer who will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
You will manage day-to-day financial operations, including monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support management decisions.
- Accounting & Reporting: Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and monthly/annual closing.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure adherence to UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee bank transactions.
- Cost Control: Analyze costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement cost-control measures.
- Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure effective internal controls and risk management practices.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare management reports, financial statements, and performance dashboards; provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure financial efficiency and support business objectives.
- The Senior Financial Officer will hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field and Professional certification: ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (mandatory).
- You will have a minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution, other commercial environment or consulting withing the UAE.
- You will have strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local accounting regulations and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
- You will have Excellent MS Excel and financial analysis skills with a strong attention to detail.
