Key responsibilities

• Partner with regional AWS management and internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations.
• Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics.
• Manage financial planning and model, analyze, and forecast metrics for budgeting and business decisions.
• Contribute to the monthly financial close and complete ad hoc projects and analyses.
• Analyze business results for insights that support business objectives.
• Monitor controls and systems compliance and develop processes to support the global business.
• Prepare detailed business-segment financial models, drive initiatives, and deliver operational efficiencies.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent.
• Experience applying financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis.
• Experience creating process improvements through automation and analysis.
• Experience identifying and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• Experience in commercial finance business partnering, FP&A, or equivalent finance roles.

Preferred qualifications

• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience in continuous-improvement projects that scale and improve controllership with measurable results is preferred.
• Advanced SQL experience for data mining and business intelligence is preferred.
