Opportunity

Senior Field Technical Engineer position in Abbott's Electrophysiology division, based in Riyadh.

The role combines EP lab clinical support with regional sales and technical support responsibilities.

Clinical Support

  • Support cases inside the EP lab and respond to customer inquiries about devices and equipment.
  • Provide on-site clinical training and education for physicians and other medical personnel.
  • Represent Abbott as a professional resource in support of client and company objectives.
  • Demonstrate, set up, test, and service products used to diagnose, monitor, manage, and treat arrhythmias.

Sales and Regional Support

  • Follow regional business targets by account, including revenue and financial metrics, and track inventory and logistics.
  • Support new product launches, provide education, and coordinate team certification.
  • Supervise field technical employees and follow up on their assigned work.
  • Support sales and marketing personnel with product setup, demonstrations, and sales proposal development and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians and EP lab personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in medical sciences.
  • English and Arabic language skills.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge and application of business concepts, procedures, and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; disciplined, flexible, and able to work with a team.

Scope and Work Practices

Cultivates internal networks and develops external contacts to complete work.

May lead well-defined projects and provides guidance to less experienced staff.

Plans and prioritizes daily work; exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.

Works in a quality system environment where task performance can affect regulatory compliance.

Abbott Electrophysiology develops medical technologies for treatment of heart disease, including atrial fibrillation.
