The Senior Executive - R&D works in GMG's Farm Fresh division within the Everyday Goods category.
The role reports to the R&D Manager and supports product innovation, quality, and development.
Responsibilities
- Manage new product development, reformulation, and quality improvement projects.
- Create prototypes, test products, and refine formulations with cross-functional teams.
- Select and analyze ingredients for consistency, safety, and nutritional value.
- Document product specifications, trials, and quality assessments.
- Coordinate with quality assurance, marketing, and production to align R&D with brand standards and operational capabilities.
- Manage project timelines and testing protocols and resolve technical challenges.
- Apply market, industry, and regulatory insights to improve product competitiveness and sustainability.
Technical competencies
- Strong food science and product formulation expertise, including ingredient functionality in processed foods.
- Proficiency in analytical testing methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Good experience using R&D software and data management tools for product trial documentation and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and project management skills.
