Role overview

Bakkt seeks a Senior Executive Assistant to own the CEO’s operating rhythm across calendar, communications, travel, preparation, and follow-through.

The role is in-office and may be based in New York, Atlanta, or Dubai.

The CEO works across global time zones; reasonable availability outside traditional office hours is required when business priorities demand it.

The assistant will coordinate with the Chief of Staff, Corporate Affairs, and the CEO’s personal team, and may occasionally support other executives.

What you will own

  • Triage communications, identify what needs the CEO’s attention, draft responses when appropriate, and prevent consequential matters from being missed.
  • Own the changing calendar and international travel schedule, prioritize business matters, resolve conflicts, and coordinate with partners and the personal team.
  • Prepare meeting briefs and materials, track decisions and commitments through completion, and handle expenses and documentation accurately.
  • Anticipate information needs, scheduling conflicts, travel requirements, and stakeholder follow-ups.
  • Use discretion to resolve, delegate, or escalate matters and respond to urgent needs across time zones.
  • Coordinate board, investor, leadership, and other stakeholder engagements with the Chief of Staff and VP of Corporate Affairs.
  • Coordinate select global events and hospitality and support global office visits, liaising with office teams and vendors.

Who you are

  • At least 7 years supporting a CEO, founder, senior investment professional, or similarly demanding principal in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and trustworthiness; ability to protect time, handle sensitive information, and determine when to escalate.
  • Highly organized and composed under pressure, with experience managing complex calendars, global time zones, communication channels, and competing priorities.
  • Proactive ownership, persistent follow-up, and ability to close loops with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technology-literate and enthusiastic about AI and automation; able to use tools, verify outputs, and protect confidential information.
  • Concise, polished communication and ability to write on the CEO’s behalf and represent the office professionally.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and adapt communication to executives, board members, investors, and external partners.
  • Flexibility and resilience to respond calmly to urgent changes and exercise sound judgment about availability across time zones.
  • Service mindset, attention to detail, and confidence improving processes.

Compensation

  • The listed pay range is USD 140,000–160,000 per year for the New York office.
  • Actual compensation across New York, Atlanta, and Dubai depends on location, experience, and qualifications.
  • The role may be eligible for an annual equity bonus, subject to the applicable plan and approval.
