Job description
- Lead monitoring and evaluation work across the directorate, providing direction and leadership.
- Ensure programmes have robust monitoring and evaluations in place.
- Evaluate research and innovation programmes promoting the development and adoption of future telecoms technologies, including 5G, OpenRAN and Advanced Communication Technologies.
- Support policy and delivery teams in using evidence, data and analysis to make better decisions.
- Work relates to programmes including the 5G Testbed and Trials and the Open Networks Programme.
Salary and contract
- Salary range is £58,275–£71,040 nationally and £63,165–£71,040 for London; part-time pay is pro rata.
- A Civil Service Pension is offered with an employer contribution of 28.97%.
- The fixed-term appointment is for two years; the posting also lists loan as a contract option.

- Working pattern options include flexible working, full-time, job share and part-time.
