Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates and BOQs for concrete repair, structural strengthening, soil stabilization, and facade works.
- Review drawings and specifications; conduct site visits and technical assessments.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to develop accurate cost projections.
- Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations, participate in negotiations, and support bid submissions and tender presentations.
- Update cost databases, research market rates and construction methods, and contribute to value engineering and budget optimization.
Qualifications
- Strong BOQ preparation and project estimation skills for repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation works.
- Effective negotiation skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients on pricing and contract terms.
- Research skills to analyze market rates, repair technologies, and structural rehabilitation practices.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; estimation or project management certifications are advantageous.
- Proven estimation experience in repair, strengthening, or specialized contracting, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office, especially Excel; numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and report-writing skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines.
