Overview

• Lead the development of comprehensive mechanical cost estimates for large-scale industrial projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to identify all mechanical system requirements and potential cost drivers.
• Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for mechanical equipment, piping, HVAC, and other related systems.
• Source and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
• Perform quantity take-offs for mechanical components, materials, and labor with meticulous attention to detail.
• Apply cost engineering principles to forecast project expenditures, including direct costs, indirect costs, and contingency.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to refine estimates and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare and present detailed estimation reports to senior management and clients, clearly articulating assumptions and methodologies.
• Stay abreast of market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates remain current and competitive.
• Utilize specialized estimation software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the bidding process.
