Senior Engineer - Utility Telecommunications

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Research and create engineering designs of complex telecommunications solutions in the Power/Utility industry.
• Create detailed single line diagrams (SLD) and full construction packages for robust telecommunications solutions: OPGW/ADSS/DWDM Fiber, Microwave, SONET MUX, MHz & Repeaters, Satellite, Radio, FAN, Circuit Paths, Power, Switches, Routers, TCP/IP, and Firewalls.
• Create and markup SLDs, interconnect diagrams, WAN, LAN, tower drawings, etc.
• Multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with management, substation, Transmission, Distribution, Specialists, and field technicians.
• Use Adobe Pro, Excel, Visio, and MS Office suite to create detailed documentation and designs.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent. PE preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in researching and architecting/designing complex telecommunication solutions for utilities.
• Must be able to pass a NERC CIP level background check.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or possess a valid Green Card (Permanent Resident Card) to be considered.
