Job Description
- We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Engineer - QA/QC to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- In this role, you will lead quality assurance and quality control initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of software excellence.
- You will be responsible for designing comprehensive testing strategies, managing test execution, and driving continuous improvement in our quality processes.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and programming languages
- Execute both manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments to identify defects and ensure product quality
- Analyze test results and defect reports, providing detailed documentation and recommendations for resolution
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Manage defect tracking and prioritization using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution
- Develop and optimize performance and load testing strategies to validate system scalability and reliability
- Conduct API testing and database validation to ensure data integrity and system functionality
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the development of testing best practices and standards
- Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline optimization
- Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate quality status to stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging testing technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance team capabilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in QA/QC engineering or software testing
- Advanced proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies and best practices
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles
- Demonstrated expertise in test case design, execution, and documentation
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in API testing and RESTful web services validation
- Working knowledge of SQL and database testing techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in both independent and collaborative team environments
- Preferred: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Preferred: Knowledge of mobile application testing frameworks and methodologies
- Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Preferred: Experience mentoring or leading QA teams
