Role overview
The Senior Engineer – Planning (E&I) leads planning and scheduling for electrical and instrumentation subcontract projects.
The full-time, on-site role is described as based in Ruwais and supports alignment with project objectives, technical standards, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed E&I project schedules, resource plans, and progress measurement systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams; update progress reports and identify schedule risks with mitigation recommendations.
- Prepare manpower histograms, S-curves, and look-ahead plans; monitor subcontractor performance.
- Support project management in client meetings and reviews; ensure contractual milestone compliance.
- Support cost and productivity analysis and improve planning procedures and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas construction projects.
- Proven expertise in project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6, project tracking, progress monitoring, reporting, cost control, and resource management.
- Strong knowledge of construction execution and project coordination within the oil and gas industry.
- GCC experience is mandatory.
