Senior Engineer - Full Stack

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own scoped features from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, release, and production follow-up.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces for annotation and data-review workflows.
• Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows.
• Work with product, design, and engineering to clarify requirements, address edge cases, and deliver complete user journeys.
• Use AI development tools for implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation while checking their outputs and ensuring quality.
• Write automated tests, participate in reviews, and apply security, privacy, performance, and reliability practices.
• Troubleshoot across the stack and improve features using production behavior and user feedback.
• Follow engineering standards and company policies covering QHSE, business continuity, information security, privacy, risk, compliance, and organizational governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and basic algorithms knowledge.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, delivering features across frontend and backend.
• Full-stack ownership from design through production; strong JavaScript and TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and web fundamentals.
• Component-based frontend development; React and Next.js are preferred, including state management, data fetching, and client/server rendering.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot backend development, plus working Python proficiency for AI-agent orchestration, LLM integrations, and supporting services.
• Knowledge of OOP, SOLID, modular design, modular monoliths, microservices, and architectural trade-offs.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, RESTful APIs, authentication, and authorization.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka and asynchronous processing, including retries and idempotency.
• Automated testing, Git, code reviews, and debugging across the stack.
• Practical use of AI coding assistants or agents, including independent review and validation of their outputs.
• Clear communication and collaborative problem-solving, including explaining trade-offs, raising risks early, and working with product, design, and engineering.

Preferred experience

• Experience building data-intensive applications and integrating AI or LLM capabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with UI component libraries and design systems such as Ant Design is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud platforms, and application monitoring is preferred.
