RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify firmware solutions for FPGA and microcontroller-based embedded systems. Provide technical leadership and guidance on firmware architecture, coding standards, verification methods, and certification requirements. Lead technical design reviews, develop firmware specifications, interface control documents, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices. Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of firmware development processes, tools, and technology roadmaps.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in FPGA and/or microcontroller firmware development. Strong experience in firmware design, coding, verification, validation, testing, and hardware integration. Thorough understanding of systems engineering processes, including requirements management, design, integration, verification, certification, and configuration management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with DO-254 firmware development standards and certification processes. Experience in defence, aerospace, guided munitions, or other safety-critical embedded systems environments.
