• Assess ICS, DCS, process control, real-time plant information, and laboratory management systems for obsolescence, support, interoperability, integration, and safe reliable operation.
• Audit system performance and identify process monitoring and improvement opportunities.
• Support technical specifications and economic feasibility studies.
• Develop functional specifications, design and as-built documentation, user manuals, and training materials for minor application modifications.
• Coordinate with site maintenance personnel on vendor support, modifications, and upgrades.
• Provide expertise in real-time process and laboratory information management systems, optimization, alarm management, control loop monitoring, and MES applications.
• Develop scopes of work and tender documents and participate in technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate project implementation, installation, commissioning, and upgrades to meet schedule and budget.

General accountabilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities in the assigned area; train and develop assigned staff.
• Contribute to functional budgets, implementation of work plans, and investigation of significant cost variances.
• Implement approved policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures.
• Contribute to performance objectives and design tools and techniques for operational improvement.
• Comply with HSE policies, applicable legislation, sustainability guidelines, and codes of practice.
• Provide input to management information and progress reports.
