Role overview
Java developer role for building reliable, scalable, and maintainable backend applications.
The role can be based in Gurgaon.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices; build RESTful APIs for system integration.
- Work with relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL, optimizing queries and designing schemas.
- Write maintainable object-oriented code and create unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Management, and other teams; participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot issues, tune performance, debug, and support production; contribute to continuous improvement.
Required skills and qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on Java development experience; strong Core Java knowledge including Collections, multithreading, exception handling, and Streams.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, and RESTful API concepts.
- Experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PL/SQL; familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and Maven or Gradle.
- Proficiency with JUnit and Mockito and a good understanding of software design principles and patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration; ability to debug and support production.
- AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda are a plus.
