Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant field is required. 7+ years of industry experience in software development, of which at least 3 years are in building and deploying production embedded software. Adaptability and creativity with the ability to think outside of the box. Interest in, passion for, or curiosity about trucks, automobiles, and technology. Ability to self-direct, even in the face of ambiguity. A collaborative attitude with a willingness to work in a small team environment. A willingness to grow personally and professionally while utilizing new engineering processes and techniques to be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree is highly preferred. Programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, and Java in the context of real-time operating systems and environments including Android, QNX, SOME/IP, and related technologies. Experience partitioning and allocating processes into edge computing devices. Software architecture, data structures, containerization, profiling, and optimization. Enabling automotive technologies including sensors, computer vision, and signal processing. Exposure to CAN, Ethernet, and wireless communication protocols. A reasonable salary range estimate for the Senior Software Engineer is $135,330 - $211,770, which is comprised of a 30% cost-of-living adjustment for California residency.
