  • Develop requirements and specifications, select components, create schematics, analyze circuits, and lead prototype validation.
  • Guide PCB layout and reviews for manufacturability, testability, and signal integrity.
  • Design and validate RF circuits, including receiver sensitivity, antenna performance, and wireless range.
  • Lead prototype bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, verification, and regulatory compliance.

Collaboration and leadership

  • Work with mechanical, firmware, software, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, and test teams.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and continuous product improvement; support suppliers, manufacturing, production issues, and product launches.
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead technical projects, and assess technical risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with typically 8+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree with typically 6+ years.
  • Experience developing residential or commercial products for high-volume manufacturing in new product development.
  • Hands-on PCB-level analog, digital, and power circuit design; proficiency with Altium, PADS, or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Experience with FCC, UL, and other applicable standards; working knowledge of stage-gate development through production release.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing, electronic components, PCB materials, and design-for-manufacturing; embedded systems experience.
  • Experience designing power conversion, motor control, AC/DC, and DC/DC systems and using electronic bench equipment.
  • Firmware development and familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, circuit simulation, or thermal analysis tools are advantageous.
  • Strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
