An established engineering consultancy in Qatar seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer - BIM for a 2-month contract (extendable).

Responsibilities
- Design and develop LV/MV electrical power distribution systems for various building types
- Prepare electrical calculations including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short circuit analysis, protection coordination, and fault level calculations
- Produce single line diagrams, power layouts, lighting layouts, containment drawings, panel schedules, and detailed engineering documentation
- Design indoor, outdoor, and emergency lighting systems using Dialux or Relux
- Design fire alarm, emergency communication, public address, voice evacuation, and life safety systems
- Develop designs for ELV systems including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, BMS, IPTV, nurse call, and building automation systems
- Perform generator sizing, UPS calculations, power factor correction, harmonic analysis, and energy efficiency studies
- Develop accurate 3D electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary clashes using Navisworks
- Create, modify, and maintain Revit families for electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, panels, and containment systems
- Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, and public health engineering teams
- Prepare design documentation suitable for concept, detailed design, tender, and construction phases
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 10 years of electrical engineering design experience within building services or MEP consultancy
- At least 3 5 years of hands on BIM/Revit MEP experience
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary building or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of IEC, NFPA, BS, and other relevant international electrical standards
- Experience working within BIM environments and coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
- Previous experience on GCC projects is highly desirable
- Chartered Engineer status or Autodesk Revit Professional Certification is advantageous

About the Opportunity
- An established engineering consultancy in Qatar is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer BIM to support the delivery of high profile building and infrastructure projects.
- This is an initial 2 month contract with strong potential for extension, ideal for professionals who are immediately available or can mobilise at short notice.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high quality electrical designs, developing BIM models, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop LV/MV electrical power distribution systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and mixed use developments.
- Prepare electrical calculations including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short circuit analysis, protection coordination, and fault level calculations.
- Produce single line diagrams, power layouts, lighting layouts, containment drawings, panel schedules, and detailed engineering documentation.
- Design indoor, outdoor, and emergency lighting systems using Dialux or Relux.
- Design fire alarm, emergency communication, public address, voice evacuation, and life safety systems in accordance with international standards.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- LV & MV power distribution, load calculations and cable sizing, protection coordination, short circuit analysis.
- Lighting and emergency lighting design, fire alarm and life safety systems, ELV and ICT systems.
- Generator and UPS sizing, power quality and energy efficiency studies.
- Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
- BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650 and BIM workflows, LOD 100 400 modelling.
- Common Data Environment (ACC/BIM 360 or equivalent), Revit family creation and model management.
- Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dialux / Relux, ETAP or SKM, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 10 years of electrical engineering design experience within building services or MEP consultancy environments.
- At least 3 5 years of hands on BIM/Revit MEP experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multidisciplinary building or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of IEC, NFPA, BS, and other relevant international electrical standards.
- Experience working within BIM environments and coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.

Candidate Profile
- Proactive and technically strong professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple design deliverables within fast paced project environments.
- Candidates currently based in Qatar or the GCC, or available to mobilise immediately, will be highly regarded.
