Senior Dry Utilities Engineer

Role overview

Design and engineering duties

• Prepare utility designs and calculations to authority standards, including electrical loads, schedules, voltage drops, and cable de-rating.
• Prepare and review HV, MV, and LV network designs, single-line diagrams, and infrastructure layouts.
• Design telecommunications networks, including layouts and GSM coverage drawings.
• Design street lighting networks and tunnel or underpass lighting; prepare DIALux lux calculations.
• Resolve design issues, own electrical engineering analysis and design, and inspect site work for quality and design compliance.
• Review drawings, reports, specifications, and materials for completeness, correctness, scope, and agreement compliance.

Project delivery and collaboration

• Present technical project and electrical design approaches to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prepare lifecycle reports, methodologies, case studies, and proposal-supporting information.
• Review technical progress and provide design updates to design managers, project managers, and clients as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working by sharing knowledge and lessons learned.
• Follow company quality procedures and demonstrate safe, ethical, and inclusive behavior.

Candidate qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Professional qualification with an internationally recognized engineering institution.
• At least five years of experience in design-related projects.
• Demonstrated record of successfully designing and delivering projects.
• Experience with district cooling requirements and load demand calculations.
• Ability to plan and monitor programmes, costs, and resources for on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of international codes and local Saudi regulations.
• Confident, professional English communication with staff and clients.

Technical tools

• Experience using analytical or design software such as DIALux, ETAP, or Amtech.
• Experience with ProjectWise, InfraWorks, Navisworks, OpenUtilities, or similar tools is preferred.

Preferred experience

• Experience in ProjectWise, InfraWorks, Navisworks, OpenUtilities, or similar tools is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for short-term assignments is preferred.
