Role overview
Equans is seeking a Senior Document Controller for its Hatfield head office.
The role supports multiple construction and refurbishment projects and requires ad hoc attendance at sites across London and the Home Counties.
The position is permanent and full time.
Key responsibilities
- Lead document control processes across multiple complex projects or programmes.
- Administer Viewpoint for Projects and integrate Golden Thread information such as Fieldview data.
- Set up document control systems, naming conventions, reviews, approvals, and version control.
- Perform quality assurance checks and produce document control reports.
- Oversee O&M manuals, health and safety files, archiving, and project handover documentation.
- Liaise with subcontractors, design consultants, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Mentor Document Controllers and support strategic initiatives, forums, and compliance audits.
Candidate requirements
- Experience in document control within construction or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects), Viewpoint Field View, and EDMS administration.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior Document Controllers.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and project handover documentation requirements.
- Experience with BIM documentation coordination and commercial or contractual document processes.
- Strong IT, organisational, time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A driving licence is preferred.
