Senior Document Controller

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinates document flow between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction teams, and other departments.
• Processes documents through required procedures and ensures project document control requirements are met.
• Receives, tracks, and monitors documents; maintains databases and produces logs, transmittals, and reports.
• Enters data and produces reports using office or department-specific applications; scans documents for electronic storage.
• Maintains project data distribution systems and schedules according to client, project, department, and supplier requirements.
• Expedites document review, signature approval, and release of supplier and internally produced documents.
• Performs light clerical duties as needed and assists junior document control staff with project-specific procedures.

Required qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of document control experience in an engineering design or consulting environment.
• Proficient keyboard skills and working knowledge of MS Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
• Working knowledge of Aconex or another EDMS.
• Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
• Detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced office environment, and committed to completing projects on time.
