About the Team

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate an HCM Engineering roadmap aligned with business goals and HCM product vision.
• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams delivering and supporting Workday HCM.
• Collaborate with product management, platform, Agent Factory, and customer support teams on requirements and quality delivery.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple teams and provide estimates and assessments for development efforts.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, and industry experts to understand trends and best practices.
• Develop team members and support career growth across the engineering organization.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years leading and developing large software engineering organizations, including Directors and Senior Managers.
• 10+ years managing software engineering teams and driving software development outcomes.
• 15+ years in software development engineering and technical strategy for complex products and platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Leadership Qualifications

• Mastery of decision-making, engineering leadership, influencing, and people management in global engineering organizations.
• Deep expertise in software development strategy, enterprise-scale platform architecture, and delivery.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation communication skills.

Compensation

• Primary Pleasanton annual base pay range is $281,600 to $422,400 USD.
• Additional US location annual base pay range is $231,800 to $422,400 USD.
• The role may be eligible for bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants.

• Employees are expected to spend at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners, depending on role.
