Role overview
Lead DevOps and SRE operations and engineering projects in a challenging environment.
Develop and support critical information, systems, and assets while taking ownership of outcomes.
Build solutions, implement software and hardware, and provide training.
Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture and modernization projects hands-on.
- Develop and manage AWS cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
- Set up SLAs and observability with engineering and operations teams.
- Identify and resolve systemic engineering and operations issues.
- Manage tooling and build systems.
- Participate proactively in resolving ongoing incidents.
Skills and qualifications
- Require 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or development experience.
- Require roadmap development and technical project-management experience.
- Require Linux, container deployment, AWS, infrastructure as code, networking, cloud security, and scripting skills.
- Require experience with performance monitoring, identity providers, content delivery, caching, and system troubleshooting.
Compensation
- Pay is $225,000 to $275,000 per year.
Work location
- Work location is in person in New York City.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant DevOps, SRE, or software development industry experience.
- Experience building roadmaps and performing technical project management.
- Experience with systems, performance monitoring tools, identity providers, networking, content delivery, and caching.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and container-based deployment best practices.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Experience with AWS.
- Networking knowledge including load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
- Experience writing scripts in at least one programming language.
