Senior DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot

Kubernetes clusters

across enterprise and on-premise infrastructure environments.

• Perform hands-on

Kubernetes cluster installations

, including configuring control-plane nodes, worker nodes, cluster networking, and essential infrastructure components.

• Support Kubernetes deployments, migrations, upgrades, reconfigurations, and production infrastructure changes.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes cluster issues involving nodes, pods, services, networking, storage, and application availability.
• Work directly at

client data centers across the UAE

to perform infrastructure deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

• Support

on-premise Kubernetes environments

, including bare-metal servers, virtual machines, and private data-center infrastructure.

• Diagnose and resolve Kubernetes-related issues using

kubectl, Linux command-line tools, logs, and monitoring platforms

.

• Support Kubernetes cluster provisioning using

kubeadm, RKE2, K3s, Rancher, OpenShift, or equivalent Kubernetes deployment technologies

, depending on the client environment.

• Troubleshoot Kubernetes control-plane and worker-node issues, including cluster connectivity, service availability, scheduling, and resource utilization.
• Support

Linux server administration

, including configuration, patching, troubleshooting, system performance monitoring, and operational maintenance.

• Diagnose infrastructure and networking issues involving

DNS, NTP, firewall rules, routing, ports, load balancing, and connectivity

.

• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot

Bash/Shell scripts

for infrastructure automation, deployment activities, and operational tasks.

• Support containerized application deployments using

Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container registries

.

• Assist with

Kubernetes certificate management, TLS/SSL configuration, and secure cluster connectivity

.

• Support database infrastructure and containerized services, including

, where applicable.

• Monitor Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure using

Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, or equivalent observability tools

.

• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, implement fixes, and recommend preventive actions.
• Perform infrastructure deployment validation, testing, and troubleshooting before production go-live.
• Work with internal engineering teams and customer infrastructure teams to coordinate deployments, migrations, maintenance, and incident resolution.
• Support Kubernetes infrastructure within

restricted-access or security-sensitive client environments

, where applicable.

• Communicate deployment progress, technical issues, troubleshooting findings, and remediation plans clearly to client stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, operational runbooks, and incident reports.
• Ensure infrastructure deployments and operational changes follow established security, reliability, and production standards.
• Travel to customer data centers and client locations across the UAE as required.

4–5 years of relevant experience

across DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Kubernetes, Linux infrastructure, or platform engineering.

• Proven hands-on experience deploying and configuring Kubernetes clusters

, rather than solely managing application deployments within existing clusters.

• Practical understanding of

Kubernetes architecture

, including control-plane components, worker nodes, pods, services, networking, scheduling, and storage.

• Experience performing

Kubernetes cluster installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, or upgrades

.

• Hands-on exposure to

on-premise Kubernetes or self-managed Kubernetes infrastructure

, preferably within physical or private data-center environments.

• Experience with Kubernetes deployment and management tools such as

kubeadm, RKE2, K3s, Rancher, OpenShift, or equivalent technologies

.

• Strong

Linux administration and troubleshooting skills

, including experience working extensively through the Linux command line.

• Working knowledge of

Bash/Shell scripting

for infrastructure administration, troubleshooting, and automation.

• Understanding of

containerization technologies

, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.

• Practical knowledge of

Linux networking

, including DNS, firewalls, routing, ports, network connectivity, and load balancing.

• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes infrastructure and production issues involving

• Experience with production monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of hands-on infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting tasks.
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to coordinate directly with client infrastructure, security, and engineering teams.

air-gapped, offline, restricted-access, or high-security data-center environments

• Experience supporting infrastructure migrations from cloud environments to

on-premise or self-managed Kubernetes

• Knowledge of

PostgreSQL administration, primary/replica replication, high availability, and database troubleshooting

• Experience managing

private container registries

, including Docker Distribution, Harbor, JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or equivalent technologies.

• Exposure to distributed storage technologies such as

Ceph, MinIO, SeaweedFS, or equivalent platforms

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as

• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking technologies such as

GPU-enabled Kubernetes infrastructure

• Experience supporting enterprise or government customer environments, particularly within

banking, cybersecurity, defense, critical infrastructure, or regulated industries

• Previous experience in

consulting, systems integration, professional services, or client-facing infrastructure engineering

• Experience working in the UAE or wider GCC region.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, access control, network segmentation, credential management, and secure operational practices.
• Experience preparing deployment documentation, operational runbooks, incident reports, and troubleshooting procedures.
