Senior DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage VM provisioning across ESXi, VMware/vSphere, Nutanix, KVM, and/or cloud.
• Handle IPAM, subnetting, VLANs, CIDR planning, and network configuration.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, namespaces, RBAC, ingress, and troubleshooting.
• Automate deployments using Helm and Argo CD; design and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines using Declarative Pipeline and Groovy.
• Manage source control using Azure Repos, Git, GitHub, or GitLab; build infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Implement OPA/Rego policy as code and infrastructure governance; work with CMDB/CSDM, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Use Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent tools and manage secrets using Vault or equivalent solutions.
• Prepare documentation and runbooks, share knowledge, mentor DevOps engineers, and collaborate with application, security, and network teams.

Required skills and experience

• At least 4 years of DevOps or infrastructure experience and at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Experience with VMware/ESXi/vSphere or equivalent hypervisors; Kubernetes, including EKS, AKS, or on-premises; Jenkins and CI/CD.
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible; Azure Repos, Git, GitHub, or GitLab; Helm and Argo CD.
• Scripting with Bash, Python, or PowerShell; networking knowledge covering IPAM, VLANs, CIDR, and subnetting.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK; secrets management; and SRE/DevOps practices.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, independent infrastructure decision-making, communication, and collaboration; mentoring experience.

Preferred skills

• Multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructure experience is a plus.
• ServiceNow, ITSM, or CMDB exposure is a plus.
• CKA, Terraform Associate, or relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications are a plus.

Pay

• The posting states ₹90,000–₹110,000 per year.
