The Senior Developer, Business Intelligence reports to the Senior Director, Technical Services, and supports global operations.

What you’ll do
- Gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and plan timely delivery.
- Design web and mobile user interfaces and data models; develop Power BI scripts, dashboards, and reports.
- Document data charts, algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships, and validate data with business experts before publishing.
- Train and onboard users and IT colleagues; ensure reports follow corporate standards and monitor KPIs.
- Analyze data and BI scripts, develop data warehouses and multidimensional models, and share knowledge with the analytics team.
- Use DAX and SQL, review ETL processes, recommend and implement BI system improvements, and develop custom charts.
What you bring
- University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related major; at least five years of experience with Power BI tools and BI systems.
- Ability to use Power Automate and Power BI tools to build reporting; experience with dashboards, DAX, and security implementation.
- Experience analyzing tools and databases, recommending software solutions, and working with big data architectures and data models.
- Knowledge of data platform architecture, database optimization, data management, governance, ingestion and extraction frameworks, and data security.
- Data warehousing and ELT/ETL experience; in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack, including Power Platform, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
Work location
- Scarborough, Ontario; hybrid schedule with three days in the office.
