Senior Design Manager - Transportation Group

Qualifications

• Your Capabilities and Credentials:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation infrastructure design, including leading design on large transit, rail or highway projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or able to obtain licensure.
• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Design Lead on design-build, P3, progressive design-build or alliance projects, preferably on either the contractor or the owner side.
• Strong knowledge of applicable standards and owner requirements (e.g., Metrolinx, MTO, municipal standards, AREMA as applicable).
• Experience with design management and digital delivery tools (e.g., BIM, ProjectWise or a similar data environment, document control and scheduling software).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to align multidisciplinary teams and resolve technical issues under commercial and schedule pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment in balancing technical quality, cost, schedule and risk.
• Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
