The Senior Design Manager owns the day-to-day design process and develops the Creative Director’s vision into coordinated design packages from concept through execution.
The role calls for independent thinking, design leadership and sound judgment about decisions requiring Creative Director approval.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage interior design projects from concept to execution; translate creative direction into detailed proposals.
- Develop concepts, mood boards, material palettes and design presentations.
- Coordinate 3D visualisation and CAD/shop drawings; review drawings for design intent, accuracy and coordination.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Civil Engineer, suppliers, contractors and consultants as required.
- Manage design revisions, client approvals, client communication, key meetings and material selections.
- Research and source quality materials, finishes, furniture and lighting.
- Maintain design quality and consistency, project schedules and deliverables; support design development and presentations.
Candidate requirements
- 7–10+ years of interior design experience; strong UAE luxury residential experience is preferred.
- Experience in high-end luxury residential villas and strong interior architecture and design development skills.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, joinery and FF&E; strong AutoCAD and design presentation software skills.
- Able to lead projects independently, coordinate 3D visualisation and technical teams, and work with contractors.
- Confident in client presentations and communication; detail-oriented, commercially aware, organised and proactive.
- A strong portfolio of completed high-end residential interior projects is required for consideration.
Preferred design approach
- The firm values contemporary and quiet luxury, natural materials, refined detailing, architectural interiors, bespoke joinery, layered lighting and timeless design.
- Overly decorative, trend-driven or generic residential design is not the desired style.
