Company and role
House of Kalaa is a boutique luxury interior-design and project-management firm specializing in high-end residential villas and bespoke interiors.
This hands-on leadership role owns day-to-day design processes and develops the Creative Director’s direction into coordinated design packages from concept through execution.
Location
- Dubai, UAE.
Design leadership and delivery
- Lead interior-design projects from concept to execution and translate creative direction into detailed proposals.
- Develop concepts, mood boards, material palettes and presentations; coordinate 3D visualisation and CAD/shop drawings.
- Review drawings for design intent, accuracy and coordination; manage revisions, approvals and design schedules.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Civil Engineer, technical teams, suppliers, contractors and consultants.
Clients, materials and quality
- Manage client design communications, attend key meetings and material selections, and maintain design quality and consistency.
- Research and source materials, finishes, furniture and lighting; support the Creative Director with design development and presentations.
Experience and portfolio
- 7–10+ years of interior-design experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Experience with high-end luxury residential villas and strong interior-architecture and design-development skills.
- A strong portfolio of completed high-end residential interior projects is required for consideration.
Technical and professional skills
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, joinery and FF&E; strong AutoCAD and design-presentation software skills.
- Able to coordinate 3D visualisation and technical teams, lead projects independently and manage multiple project schedules and deliverables.
- Confident in client presentations; detail-oriented, commercially aware, organized and proactive.
- Ideal design interests include contemporary and quiet luxury, natural materials, refined detailing, architectural interiors, bespoke joinery and layered lighting.
