Senior Design Engineer (Oil & Gas - downhole tools, packer design, well completion equipment)

Role

Main Duties and Accountabilities

• Comply with company FZE QHSE policies and procedures and establish engineering standards and processes.
• Prepare technical and manufacturing drawings; create assembly, disassembly, and redress procedures.
• Generate engineering test requests and reports; plan, review, and approve designs and contribute to product development.
• Qualify and test company equipment and oversee prototype design and workshop testing.
• Analyze customer proposals, specifications, and technical data and ensure conformance with engineering and performance specifications.
• Use client drawing-control systems to maintain drawing integrity and define design acceptance criteria for product and customer requirements.
• Communicate design changes and verify drawing accuracy before assembly and testing.
• Present new packer designs, review drawings for approval, and hold assembly when design or drawing changes are identified.
• Coordinate design and development requirements with management.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar field.
• Fluent in English.
• Understanding of API manufacturing principles and their application to packer design; working knowledge of completion equipment design calculations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, or similar tools.
• Training or awareness in QHSE/API Q1, product specifications such as API 11-D1, ASNT, or AWS, and project planning analysis.
