Role: Senior Database Admin Engineer

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Notice: 30 days max

Client: Government Entity

Payroll: Dautom Information Technology

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain databases ensuring performance, security, availability, and reliability
• Handle installation, configuration, patching, backup & recovery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design database structures, schemas, and data models
• Monitor and optimize database performance (query tuning, indexing, troubleshooting)
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning
• Implement automation scripts and tools for database administration
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

🛠️ Required Skills

• Strong expertise in databases such as Oracle Database , Microsoft SQL Server , MySQL , PostgreSQL , MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
• Knowledge of database security (encryption, access control, auditing)
• Expertise in backup & recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning
• Proficiency in scripting: SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell, Python
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related field
• Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience in database administration
