Senior Data Scientist

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage data science and machine-learning projects to meet technical goals within agreed timeframes.
• Explain work to clients and teammates, and produce visualizations, metrics, and tabulations for non-technical users.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain data inputs and support their application of Croud services.
• Explore and model large datasets using Python, SQL, and related tools.
• Use AI tools, including Claude Code, to develop and improve Croud solutions.
• Improve supervised machine-learning methods, features, optimization, algorithm selection, training, and evaluation.
• Develop new modeling approaches and collaborate with client analytics teams to improve outcomes.
• Contribute to product development and iteration of analytical methods.

Requirements

• Data science methodology knowledge and expertise in supervised machine learning.
• Ability to explore and model large datasets using Python, SQL, and related tools.
• Clear communication with clients and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and client teams.

Methods and tools

• The team primarily uses Python, classical machine-learning techniques, and AI-assisted rapid iteration.
• Cloud-hosted modeling services apply predictive methods to customer behavior, marketing, website interaction, and online conversion data.

Compensation

• Benchmarked annual salary is £75,000 to £85,000, with the level determined by skills and experience within the progression framework.

Workplace

• Hybrid working in London, with three days per week in the office.
