Senior Data Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution design for cloud data products and pipelines and guide engineers through implementation.
• Design and oversee integration, transformation, and automation of data between systems.
• Support reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions for internal partners.
• Clarify requirements with partners and translate needs into actionable engineering plans.
• Build, enhance, and optimize data solutions with SQL, Python, and Azure technologies.
• Monitor production and user acceptance testing; troubleshoot issues and improve service quality.
• Mentor engineers and promote delivery and engineering best practices.

Qualifications and experience

• Bring 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions.
• Bring 3+ years leading technical work, including solution design, implementation guidance, and mentoring.
• Have strong expertise in SQL, Python, Azure solution design, and Databricks.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric is an asset.
