Senior Data Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead application engineering through solution design, development, deployment, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
• Design scalable, secure end-to-end solutions aligned with platform and business standards.
• Write, review, and test code while building cloud-native Data & Analytics solutions on Azure.
• Apply CI/CD, Agile, DevOps, automation, and code-quality practices.
• Collaborate across technical and business teams to translate requirements into solutions and resolve technical, performance, and integration issues.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the engineering roadmap, platform evolution, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of data engineering experience and hands-on experience delivering Big Data solutions with Spark and Databricks.
• Experience designing and developing end-to-end data solutions, including architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Quality concepts.
• Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL skills; experience with Airflow and Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, unit testing, API integrations, Agile, and DevOps.
• Ability to lead technical design decisions and collaborate with global cross-functional teams; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
