Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and drive innovative reports, predictive models, and analytical frameworks.
• Identify and size business opportunities, risks, and strategic initiatives beyond routine reporting.
• Advise senior leadership, product managers, and engineering teams with data-driven recommendations.
• Translate complex analytical outcomes into clear narratives for executive audiences.
• Lead complex, high-visibility analytics projects with ambiguous requirements and cross-functional dependencies.
• Define scope, methodology, and success criteria for large-scale analytical initiatives.
• Lead and mentor junior data analysts through technical guidance and coaching.
• Define and promote analytics best practices, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Improve data literacy and analytical rigor across the organization.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Product teams to influence data strategy and improve data infrastructure.
• Drive data governance initiatives and ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of core data assets.

Technical Qualifications

• Expert-level ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot highly complex SQL queries.
• Mastery of at least one enterprise BI platform, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions, and data cleanup.
• Deep familiarity and hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or another modern data warehouse or lakehouse.
• Experience with data architecture, cost management, and AI features in modern data tools.
• Ability to design and implement AI-powered agents and automated analytical systems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data models such as Salesforce CRM.

Analytical and Business Qualifications

• Ability to deconstruct ambiguous strategic questions into logical, multi-phased analytical plans.
• Exceptional business acumen and a record of influencing senior-level business decisions with data.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain analytical implications to audiences from analysts to C-suite executives.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in data analytics, including complex project leadership and mentoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing large-scale event-based product and customer telemetry data.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams on telemetry architecture and requirements.
• Proficiency in Python or another statistical programming language.
