Role overview

Innovation and business intelligence

• Mine complex, high-volume, varied data sources and platforms using open-source and digital technologies.
• Build data solutions, tools, and capabilities that enable self-service for data consumers; explore new technologies for varied initiatives.
• Translate business needs into tools, techniques, metrics, dashboards, and visualizations, and analyze business strategies.

Data management

• Promote data quality principles covering metadata, lineage, and business definitions.
• Collaborate with technology teams on security mechanisms and data-access governance.
• Build and execute tools to monitor and report data quality.

Basic qualifications

• Quantitative bachelor's degree plus at least two years of data analytics experience, or a master's degree obtained by the scheduled start date.
• At least one year of scripting-language experience, one year using a business intelligence visualization tool, and one year querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms.

Preferred qualifications

• A master's degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
• At least two years coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL is preferred.
• Experience with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma process improvement is preferred.
• AWS experience and experience with data governance, data quality concepts, and tools such as Informatica DQ are preferred.

Compensation

• The posting gives a Plano, Texas annual salary range of $101,100–$115,400 for Senior Data Analyst.
• The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
