Purpose of the position:
Ensure effective project cost control by establishing cost structures, monitoring financial performance, and providing accurate forecasts and analysis to support project delivery within the approved budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and cost control systems aligned with project and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project costs, revenues, and progress, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting (Estimates at Completion).
- Identify deviations from the Revised Control Budget and promptly communicate risks, trends, and corrective actions to project management.
- Prepare and maintain key project reports, including Cost Control Reports, Project Status Reports, and Cash Flow forecasts.
- Support procurement, invoicing, and contract change/claim processes by analyzing cost impacts and ensuring alignment with project controls.
- Track earned value, accruals, and cost performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to risk management by supporting cost-related analysis of risks and opportunities.
- Assist in project close-out activities, including cost reporting and financial reconciliation.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, project financial management, and reporting.
- Understanding of accounting principles (IAS/IFRS) and project cost structures (WBS/CBS).
- Experience with project control systems, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value analysis.
- Ability to analyze cost deviations, manage forecasts, and support decision-making.
- Knowledge of contract management, change management, and project risk evaluation.
Languages
Fluency in business English, both oral and written, is a mandatory requirement; knowledge of any other language will be an asset.
Technical Skills: Co
st control knowledge of EPCI Project, preferably offshore
IT Skills
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suit Package is essential.
