Role Description
The Senior Corporate Associate will work on complex corporate matters, including structuring transactions, drafting and negotiating commercial and shareholder agreements, and advising on company formation, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
include conducting and overseeing due diligence, preparing legal opinions, reviewing corporate and finance documentation, and managing cross-border transactions as needed.
The role requires direct interaction with clients, regulatory bodies, and counterparties, as well as mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge development within the firm.
The Senior Corporate Associate will collaborate with other practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions and support business development initiatives.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Corporate Law, including company formation, governance, M&A, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal issues, assess risk, and propose practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Finance-related matters relevant to corporate transactions, such as capital structures, financing arrangements, and transaction documentation.
- Experience conducting and supervising Due Diligence for corporate transactions, investments, and regulatory reviews.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear legal drafting, advisory writing, and confident client-facing and negotiation abilities.
- Accredited law degree from a recognized institution; admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction is preferred.
- Several years of post-qualification experience in corporate practice at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
