Job Purpose
Coordinate and support end-to-end international freight, customs clearing, and documentation processes to ensure timely import/export operations in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate international shipping activities including booking, tracking, and delivery timelines.
- Manage import and export documentation ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, declarations, and customs documents.
- Support cost optimization initiatives within international freight operations.
- Prepare periodic reports on shipment performance and clearing cycle times.
- Ensure adherence to international trade compliance, safety, and quality standards.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 0–1 year experience in international freight, customs clearing, or logistics operations.
Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
