With the award of several new major UAE projects, we are looking to expand and strengthen our commercial team with two new openings for cost management & quantity surveying senior consultants.
Role Description.
Senior Consultant - Quantity Surveying & Cost Management.
The role is based in Dubai and involves leading precontract cost planning and cost management activities, preparing detailed estimates and cost plans, producing design stage measurements, advising clients on budget allocation and project financial control.
Candidates will closely coordination with clients, design teams, and contractors, mentoring junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- A quantity surveying degree from an accredited University.
- Minimum 10 years’ PQS post qualification experience, with at least 5 years’ UAE experience.
- Strong cost planning and cost management skills, with experience in measurement, preparing estimates, budgets, BQs and cost reports.
- Good working knowledge of POMI & NRM methods of measurement.
- IT competency, with experience of industry recognized QS software
- Managing small teams of quantity surveyors, prioritizing workload, and managing resources effectively.
- Ability to achieve deadlines, deliver results and work under pressure.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present clear, structured insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively managing multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Ensure that consistently high standards and professionalism are always maintained.
- An initiative-taking and positive approach, working within a proactive team environment.
- Professional membership or working towards MRICS / MCIOB would be an advantage.
