The position covers all construction stages from mobilisation through structural works, MEP installation, finishes, external works, testing, snagging and handover.

It focuses on safe, high‑quality, timely and cost‑effective execution, close coordination with design and planning teams, and seamless integration of new works with existing facilities and ongoing operations.

The role requires strong site leadership, technical understanding, and close collaboration with contractors, consultants and client representatives.

What You'Ll Be Doing

  • Lead day‑to‑day site management for all construction activities, ensuring works are executed safely, to programme, to the required quality and within agreed budgets.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise structural, architectural, MEP and external works, including sequencing, access, temporary works and interfaces between multiple work fronts.
  • Work closely with planning teams to develop and maintain detailed construction programmes and look‑ahead schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation/recovery measures.
  • Coordinate with design management, consultants and contractors to resolve construction‑related design issues, RFIs and clashes, and to implement agreed technical solutions on site.
  • Ensure effective site logistics and phasing, including hoarding, site access/egress, material handling, laydown areas, waste management and coordination with existing operations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring corrective actions are taken where necessary.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures, including inspections, tests, mock‑ups and audits, to ensure compliance with specifications and performance requirements.
  • Review and validate contractors’ construction methodologies, method statements, risk assessments and resource plans.
  • Monitor contractor performance, progress and productivity, review progress reports and support the assessment of interim payments, variations and claims from a construction perspective.
  • Coordinate with MEP and specialist trades to ensure timely installation, testing and commissioning alignment with the overall construction programme.
  • Lead or support inspections for substantial completion, snagging and de‑snagging, ensuring a smooth transition into testing, commissioning and handover.
  • Prepare and contribute to regular site progress reports and coordination meetings with project leadership, consultants, contractors and client representatives.

What Required Skills You'Ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • Professional membership or certification (e.g. PMP, CIOB or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Minimum 15+ years of construction management experience on large, complex building or infrastructure projects, including significant time in a senior site leadership role.
  • Strong track record delivering multi‑disciplinary projects with complex interfaces (e.g. large venues, mixed‑use developments, transport hubs or similar).
  • Solid understanding of structural, architectural, MEP and external works construction, with the ability to sequence and coordinate multiple trades.
  • Proven experience in site logistics planning, phasing and working in or adjacent to live/operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, site safety practices and quality assurance/quality control processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specifications and contracts, and to resolve technical and coordination issues on site.
  • Experience working closely with planning, commercial and design teams on programme, progress, claims and variations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and team‑management skills, with the ability to direct contractors and influence outcomes on site.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple work fronts, tight deadlines and changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
