Senior Construction Engineer - Electrical

Provides technical support for execution and control of electrical construction activities, including power distribution, cabling, lighting, earthing, and equipment installation.
Supports site execution, coordination, quality control, progress monitoring, and technical documentation to deliver electrical works in line with approved project requirements.
Key accountabilities
- Review electrical shop drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams for compliance with specifications, codes, and design requirements.
- Monitor electrical installations on-site and provide technical guidance for work performed to approved documents.
- Supervise insulation resistance, continuity, and load tests, and support system commissioning.
- Support QA/QC inspections against applicable standards, including NEC/IEC, and project quality requirements.
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project HSE requirements; support reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
- Maintain test reports, site logs, and inspection records for traceability.
- Prepare and maintain as-built records for project handover.
- Monitor electrical system readiness and commissioning activities.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in power, including 3+ years in SEC substation projects or power plants.
- Previous SEC approval as an electrical engineer is mandatory.
- Proven experience in HV/EHV substation or power plant projects.
