Concept Artist
to join our marketplace production team and help create high-quality visual content for game development asset packs.
Compensation
Black Capes currently operates under a revenue-share model rather than a fixed monthly salary.
Contributors receive a percentage of revenue generated by the marketplace products they help create.
Revenue shares are based on each contributor's involvement and impact within a project.
Responsibilities
- Create environment, prop, weapon, character, and UI concepts.
- Produce clear production-ready concept sheets and design explorations.
- Support asset pack development with strong visual direction.
- Collaborate with 3D artists and other team members to ensure design consistency.
- Follow project briefs, art direction, and production pipelines.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept art and visual development skills.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Blender, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of shape language, composition, design, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to iterate quickly and communicate ideas visually.
- Experience in game art production is a plus.
- Marketplace asset creation experience is a plus.
