Overview
We are hiring an experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer for a leading EPC/EPCI project in the Oil & Gas sector.
The role is ideal for candidates with strong offshore/onshore commissioning experience and expertise in system completion, startup, and handover activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and system handover activities for EPC/EPCI projects.
- Coordinate commissioning activities across Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Control Systems.
- Oversee loop checking, system testing, DCS/PLC integration, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure commissioning activities are executed in line with project schedules, procedures, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, construction teams, and clients during commissioning phases.
- Review and manage commissioning documentation including procedures, test packs, dossiers, punch lists, and handover packages.
- Support mechanical completion and system turnover activities.
- Monitor project progress and resolve technical and operational issues during commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, client specifications, and HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 15–20 years of commissioning experience in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCI projects.
- Strong experience in offshore and/or onshore commissioning activities.
- Hands-on experience with loop checking, DCS/PLC systems, startup, and system-based commissioning.
- Familiarity with commissioning standards such as DNV, ABS, IEC, or similar.
- Experience in managing commissioning documentation and project handovers.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
