Job Purpose

The Senior Commissary Manager will oversee product preparations across several countries, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and optimal resource management.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage daily operations and delivery across all facilities
  • Ensure production schedules are met efficiently and safely
  • Assure product quality complies with standards

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, and supervise staff across all facilities
  • Lead the production manager in each unit to comply with standards
  • Develop a diverse team of production staff across all locations
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration

Quality Assurance & HSE

  • Implement and maintain quality control measures and food safety protocols
  • Monitor compliance with food safety regulations and standards
  • Manage the team to conduct regular audits and inspections of all locations to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensure OHSE compliance across all facilities

Process Improvement

  • Lead teams to analyze production processes, identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize workflows and reduce waste

Budget and Cost Control

  • Develop and manage the facility’s budget.
  • Monitor expenses and optimize resource allocation for all facilities

On Time Delivery

  • Ensure each facility delivers products on time on daily basis
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Maintain accurate records of production, quality control and safety audits
  • Prepare and present operational reports to upper management on performance metrics
  • Utilize data analysis to make informed decisions and drive improvements

Crisis Management

  • Develop and implement contingency plans for emergencies or production disruptions.

Experience

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, food technology, process engineering, operation management, or similar
  • Mandatory minimum 10+ years experience in food production; preferability with poultry production; at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in quality control, managing budget, and production costing
  • Advantage with GFSI or related lead auditor experience
  • Starting up of new facilities and factory experience

  • Strong leadership & management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills toward managing the team and stakeholders from other departments
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary
  • Competence with computer-based administration, record-keeping, and procurement system, such as Oracle
  • Language Skills: Arabic preferred
