Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer – Azure Applications

Job purpose

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain development, UAT, and production environments for web applications, APIs, CMS, and supporting services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Next.js, React, Node.js, .NET, and Strapi applications.
• Maintain repeatable infrastructure configuration, version-controlled changes, and environment consistency.
• Implement deployment checks, approvals, rollback procedures, and release traceability.
• Set up health checks, logs, dashboards, and actionable alerts; investigate production incidents.
• Configure application identities, access controls, certificates, and secrets management with security owners.
• Assess scaling, utilization, and availability; implement agreed improvements and recommend cloud cost optimizations.
• Coordinate backups and validate restoration and recovery procedures; maintain inventories, deployment guides, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• At least five years in cloud/DevOps engineering, including at least three years operating production applications on Azure.
• Strong experience with App Service, Functions, Storage/Blob, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights; API Management and Service Bus are preferred.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions experience, including secure deployment and rollback.
• Practical Terraform or Bicep experience; Docker experience required and Kubernetes preferred where relevant.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Node.js, Next.js, .NET, and headless CMS applications.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python; understanding of Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC, DNS, TLS, private endpoints, and application connectivity.
• SQL Server and PostgreSQL deployment/connectivity support, incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, monitoring, and recovery-testing experience.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 16,000–19,000 per month.
