Senior Civil 3D Modeler (Utilities)

Job Description

What You Will Do

• Produce detailed Autodesk Civil 3D models for utilities and road networks.
• Generate plans, elevations, sections, details, and shop drawings from Civil 3D models.
• Develop and review TPD planning approval drawings for service corridors, utility routes, and road layouts.
• Create service corridor designs in coordination with engineering teams.
• Lead modelers and CAD technicians through task assignment, technical direction, and quality reviews.
• Train and mentor teams on CAD/BIM tools, Civil 3D workflows, and drafting standards.
• Support drafting and BIM standards, best practices, and workflow development.
• Coordinate models, drawings, specifications, calculations, and data books across project groups.
• Collect, verify, and consolidate technical information and maintain organized engineering document indexes.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with project specifications, codes, authority standards, and Parsons BIM/CAD standards.
• Manage utility-related interfaces and changes, attend coordination meetings, and report documentation and model status.

Required Skills

• Diploma in civil engineering from a reputable and accredited institution.
• Seven years of experience in a similar infrastructure, utilities, roads, and networks role.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong experience in 2D drafting and 3D modelling for utilities and road networks.
• Experience with TPD planning approval drawings.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Desired Skills

• Degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi standards and authority requirements for infrastructure and utilities.
• Understanding of BIM requirements and CAD/BIM workflows.
• Experience leading and coordinating modelers or CAD technicians.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience on large-scale roads, networks, or BIM-enabled projects in the UAE or GCC.
