Senior Chiller Technician

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned service, maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks within required timeframes and quality standards.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Repair or replace defective components and adjust electrical and electronic control systems.
• Maintain coils, blowers, motors, belts, DX and airside equipment, and reciprocating, screw, and scroll chillers.
• Prepare labor, material, parts, and tool estimates and complete technical service documentation.
• Communicate work progress, outstanding issues, risks, and recommendations to customers and supervisors.
• Safely rig and set up gantries and lifting arrangements for HVAC equipment and overhaul activities.
• Use computers, mobile devices, and relevant applications for work orders, reporting, communication, and documentation.

Safety and Teamwork

• Recognize HVAC-related safety hazards and implement appropriate controls.
• Identify and manage risks associated with work activities.
• Work independently when required and escalate situations requiring supervisor or manager guidance.
• Maintain an organized work area and participate in EH&S and technical training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related technical field.
• 5–8 years of relevant HVAC field service and chiller maintenance experience.
• Valid Saudi driving license.
• Good command of English in speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and independent-work skills.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC equipment maintenance and repair principles and practices.
• Knowledge of HVAC safety procedures for installation, repair, maintenance, and servicing activities.
