Role Overview

Process Discovery and Analysis

• Lead complex process discovery interviews, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
• Oversee current-state process maps, workflows, journey maps, and dependency analyses.
• Validate process documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Identify redundancies, bottlenecks, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Synthesize findings across workstreams to identify enterprise-wide patterns and trends.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate executive briefings and leadership working sessions.
• Present findings, recommendations, risks, and implementation considerations.
• Support stakeholder alignment across diverse organizations and business functions.

Future-State Design

• Facilitate collaborative design of future-state processes and target operating models.
• Translate business needs into implementation-ready requirements and capability recommendations.
• Develop transition strategies, sequencing approaches, and modernization recommendations.
• Evaluate impacts to people, process, technology, governance, and organizational structures.

Strategic Modernization Support

• Support enterprise architecture, data modernization, cloud migration, and operating model transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects and technical teams to identify business capability requirements.
• Assess organizational readiness, change impacts, and modernization risks.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps and investment planning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Operations Management, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Seven years of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, business transformation, or modernization.
• At least five years leading teams or managing large-scale process improvement engagements.
• Experience leading current-state and future-state process model development.
• Experience facilitating executive interviews, stakeholder workshops, and cross-functional sessions.
• Proficiency in BPMN, swim-lane diagrams, journey mapping, UML, IDEF, or similar methods.
• Experience documenting business and functional requirements and operational procedures.
• Experience managing concurrent workstreams and supporting Agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Must be able to work from client and Guidehouse offices in Washington, DC and Tysons Corner, VA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Business Process Improvement, Business Process Reengineering, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational transformation.
• Professional certification such as CBPP, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, PMI-PBA, Prosci Change Management, or Certified Scrum Master.
• Experience supporting federal agencies, financial regulators, central banks, or financial services organizations.
• Experience with enterprise modernization, cloud migration, data transformation, or technology-enabled process improvement.

Compensation

• The annual salary range for this position is $113,000-$188,000.
• Compensation depends on skills, experience, training, clearances, certifications, and organizational needs.
