Senior Business Analyst - IT

Role overview

Business analysis and delivery

• Lead analysis from requirements discovery through solution validation and business acceptance.
• Facilitate interviews, workshops, process reviews, and cross-functional sessions; develop requirements, process maps, use cases, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
• Maintain traceability and change impact analysis across scope, design, testing, and deployment.
• Evaluate solutions for operational fit, gaps, integration dependencies, risks, and process-improvement opportunities.

Implementation and stakeholder coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, support, infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve dependencies.
• Lead UAT analysis, including scenarios, criteria, validation, defect clarification, and sign-off readiness.
• Support implementation readiness, process changes, procedures, documentation, and training requirements.
• Provide status updates and escalate decisions, risks, and outstanding issues; manage multiple initiatives and priorities.

Practice and team contribution

• Promote consistent analysis practices, documentation quality, and knowledge sharing; guide and mentor other Business Analysts.
• Follow company policies and maintain confidentiality and professional standards.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business information systems, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of relevant Business Analyst or Systems Analyst experience, including complex enterprise application implementations.
• Experience across requirements, solution design, UAT, deployment, and operational transition.
• Strong requirements elicitation, process mapping, functional specification, traceability, and change impact analysis skills.
• Ability to understand integrations, data flows, system dependencies, and technical decisions' operational implications.
• Workshop facilitation, stakeholder influence, prioritisation, and communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience defining UAT criteria and scenarios and supporting defect resolution and business acceptance.
• Hospitality, gaming, or other complex multi-system experience is preferred; POS, PMS, and CMS familiarity is advantageous.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, sound judgment, independence, collaboration, adaptability, initiative, integrity, and coaching willingness.
